Medicine Databases BLUR and BLOZ

Unique and Rescue Medicines Database (BLUR)

The Unique and Rescue Medicines Database (BLUR) improves the exchange of information on medicines hard to get between doctors, pharmacists and other people that may have or search for such drugs.

The database is useful when:

- a rescue medication, hard to get in a pharmacy, is sought for,

- we have an expensive and redundant drug which may be used for medicinal purposes before its expiry date.

Each medicine in the database has a detailed drug card with the basic information on the medicine: name, form, dose, packaging, as well as contact details for authors of the entry.

Information in the database can be placed by doctors and pharmacists as well as other people who have the medicine or are interested in purchasing it. The correctness of data in the database is verified by the moderator of the OSOZ system.

The advantage of BLUR is comprehensive nature of search as an entry to the database is visible on the webpage as well as automatically sent to all pharmacies and doctors participating in the OSOZ project.
